1. One installer, two choices
The customer receives a single installation file. During installation, choose:
- Program folder: executables, components, settings and logs.
- Storage folder: recordings, snapshots, timeline and Web cache.
Both choices are made in the same installer; they are not two separate programs.
2. Data-root structure
Selected root\gravacoesSelected root\hbb_web_video_cacheCameras remain separated as CAM1, CAM2, CAM3, etc. The visible camera name can change without mixing evidence.
3. External drive unavailable
When the configured root is not available:
- Live View, mosaic, alarm and settings remain available.
- Manual recording, detection recording, snapshots and export are blocked.
- HBB displays a clear warning.
- The system does not silently use drive C: as a fallback.
When the same drive and path are reconnected, HBB recognizes the storage automatically.
4. Clean installation and update
- A new installation must not contain cameras, IP addresses, names, PINs, timeline or recordings from the development environment.
- An update must preserve existing settings and the data-root path.
- Old recordings are not moved automatically.
- The program folder must allow the settings and logs to be written; the installer avoids incompatible protected locations.
