1. What is HBB Web?

HBB Web provides browser access to HBB VMS. The Gateway reads the image maps produced by the VMS and should not open another RTSP session for each camera.

Local recording, detection and timeline continue working without internet. The browser is an additional way to access the system.

2. First access and PIN

  1. Open HBB Web from the system-tray icon.
  2. On the first local access, create the PIN and confirm it.
  3. Keep the PIN in a safe place. It must not be sent in logs or messages.
  4. On a trusted device, the session may remain authorized for the period defined by the Gateway.

3. Browser functions

4. Open a recording

Some browsers cannot directly play H.265 or certain audio formats. In those cases, the Gateway prepares an H.264/AAC copy on demand in the Web cache.

5. Alarm sound

The browser requires a user interaction before it can play audio. Use Enable alarm sounds on the device. The “Intruder in the area” voice file is used when available; a compatibility tone is available if voice playback fails.
